A low protein self-saucing chocolate pudding

Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup low protein- Milk replacer
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons 8 Oz cocoa powder (equals 2 grams protein)
  • 1 cup low protein flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Vanilla essence
  • Sauce
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons 8oz cocoa powder
  • 1 and 3/4 cups boiling water

Method

  • Mix all dry ingredients
  • Add melted butter and the milk replacer and stir to combine
  • Pour into ovenproof dish
  • Combine all sauce ingredients and stir until dissolved
  • Pour sauce over batter
  • Cook in moderate oven for 30-40mins
  • Total protein equals 4 grams (please check protein on whatever cocoa powder you use)
  • Serve 6
